Longtown
Longtown Castle
Local legend depicts a coffin concealing one thousand guineas within the ground of the castle. It is said the spirits of Walter De Lacy, and Ewyas Lacy are to pace the cast grounds near the site of a once bloody battle. Many sensitives feel a sense of depression around the site.
Lugwardine
The Crown & Anchor
The Crown and Anchor is a traditional country pub in Lugwardine, just a few miles to the east of Hereford. It has a reputation for its traditional cooked food and cask ales. It was around 4am that a gentleman heard the sound of something walking across the gravel there. He said hello to what appeared to be a man standing there creating the crunching noise on the gravel. He stared back for a moment, before walking and disappearing in what was an enclosed area with no exit.

Hellens Manor
Another Jewel in Herefordshire's crown. This location has an abundance of history and even cruelty associated with it, despite it being surrounded by beautiful countryside. The sounds of a 1940`s style party are reported in one of the outer buildings near the present day tea rooms and has been heard by many. Apparently locked in the house by her mother after trying to run away with the stable hand, the spirit of Hetty Walwyn is said to haunt the building. Rumour has it that she was possibly starved to death and others say that she killed herself. However, all stories agree that Hetty was not of sound mind during her incarceration. A priest who was murdered by roundheads when he was caught trying to flee. He was apparently stabbed to death and legend says that the blood stained floor took years to remove the traces of the spillage. He allegedly haunts several rooms in the building.
