Bromyard
The Falcon Hotel
There are reports of a ghost named Harriet who is frequently seen wandering. Whether this can be associated with the quaker burial ground that was uncovered during building work is arguable.
It is also reported the ghost of a young gentleman that walks around the second floor of the building has been heard asking the question 'Where is Anne?.
The bodies of the Quakers were buried in an upright position, though, some of these have been removed and reburied in recent building works nearby.
The Hop Pole
Reports of hanging sensations picked up by a medium walking between the building and the nearby butchers. Further, the medium claimed the spirit was walking the building, where cold spots are often felt, and an unsettling presence on a flight of stairs.
Bromyard Downs
There have been sightings of a headless horseman galloping along the road at night, which was at one time the main access road. There at one time was a toll charge to travel this road, the toll house is still in existence today. A WW2 bunker is said to still be in place upon the downs in the woods, where reports of voices and movement are apparently heard.
