His ghost is said to remain. Part of the Chemist shop can be seen when looking above what is now New Look. It is said the apothecary haunts the area still feeling guilty for the accidental loss of life. Many reports were made, particularly when the building was the Littlewoods department store, of sightings and poltergeist types of phenomena. Many witnessed the whole property being towed up the street in 1966.
